After a NEET drop year
Two of the seven came to BS in Management & Technology after preparing for NEET. Hardavi describes the uncertainty many droppers feel:
“I was preparing for NEET, but when that didn’t work out, I was confused about what to do next. I found the IIT Jodhpur program on Instagram, and the combination of management and technology stood out. I was unsure about the online format at first, but the platform is well organised and the live sessions keep me engaged.”
Naina, from a biology background, was worried about the maths and technology side:
“I studied biology and took a NEET drop year, which left me uncertain about my career. This program felt like the combination of business and technology I was genuinely interested in. Coming from a biology background, I was unsure at first, but the faculty explain concepts from the basics. Most importantly, it has given me direction.”
Alongside another degree
Three learners are doing BS in Management & Technology in parallel with another programme, a combination IIT Jodhpur explicitly allows. Jaya studies it alongside a BBA:
“I’m currently pursuing my BBA and decided to explore this course to build a stronger understanding of the field. Coming from a commerce background, I wanted practical exposure beyond college. The course structure was easy to follow, and I was able to manage it alongside my BBA.”
Vidhi combines it with a BSc at Delhi University:
“After Class 12, I knew I was interested in business, marketing and finance. I was also pursuing a BSc at Lady Irwin College, so I wasn’t sure I’d have enough time. The weekend live classes fit well around my college schedule. I’m especially excited about learning AI to use in my own business someday.”
And Utkarsh pairs it with a design degree at NIFT:
“I’m currently pursuing Fashion Communication at NIFT and wanted a management course that could complement it. The IIT Jodhpur program felt like a proper academic degree rather than an additional certification. Learning management, branding, people and customers alongside fashion gives me a broader perspective.”
From a non-technical background
BS in Management & Technology includes courses in computing, machine learning, AI and cloud, which worries many students from arts and commerce. Komal, a political science graduate, says:
“I enrolled because AI is transforming every industry, and combining law with management and technology felt like a real advantage. The student support has been incredible. The biggest change for me has been overcoming my fear of coding. I now actively practise writing code.”
Adjusting to the online format
Three of the seven say they were unsure about studying online at first. Tanisha describes the adjustment:
“I wanted a career that combined business with technology. The flexibility of the program let me manage my studies around my schedule. I was unsure about the online format at first, but over time I became more comfortable with it. Principles of Marketing has been a real highlight.”
The patterns across the seven stories
- Three of the seven featured learners are pursuing the programme alongside another degree (a BBA, a DU BSc and a NIFT degree), and one came from distance learning.
- Non-science and non-commerce students are managing the technology. A biology student and a political science graduate both describe the basics being taught from scratch.
- Three featured learners describe becoming more comfortable with online learning, mentioning initial hesitation followed by comments on the organised platform, the live sessions and the flexible schedule.
- The appeal is the combination. Several learners name the mix of management and technology, and AI in particular, as a reason they chose it.

Ask about the live-session timings, the assessment load in the first semester, how quickly queries are answered, and how the campus immersion works. Can I join after a NEET drop year or from a biology background?

Are the classes live or recorded?
