My Path Through Technical Education
Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA)
After completing my undergraduate studies in arts, I wanted to equip myself with skills that had real-world application. The PGDCA was the first major step. This program gave me an understanding of the fundamentals of computing—programming, software tools, networking basics, and system analysis. More than just theory, it taught me how to think like a problem-solver.
Master in Information Technology (MIT)
I didn’t stop there. To gain a competitive edge, I pursued a Master in Information Technology. This program was critical because it combined technical learning with business applications. It gave me the confidence to manage IT systems and also understand how these systems fit into a larger business framework. This became extremely helpful when I started working with companies, universities, and clients across various domains.
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP 8i)
One of the most valuable milestones in my technical journey was becoming an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP 8i). This certification opened doors to jobs that required high-level database management skills. It wasn’t just about passing exams—it was about mastering a technology that powers organizations around the world. As an Oracle Database Administrator, I learned how to handle complex data, ensure security, and maintain system performance. These experiences would later help me as a consultant working with large educational and immigration databases.
Transitioning Into Consulting
With years of experience in technical roles at Tata Infotech and GMCH Sector 32, I found myself naturally moving into roles where I was advising others—whether it was managing networks or optimizing database systems. Over time, my work started shifting toward consultation, especially in the education and immigration sectors.
My technical background allowed me to simplify information for clients, develop clear documentation, and use data-driven insights to support decision-making. This technical-to-consulting shift was organic because the foundation had already been laid through years of disciplined learning and practical exposure.
Expanding the Scope: Beyond Tech
Although I started in tech, my consulting career expanded over time. Today, I work across multiple industries:
